SPRING TIME IN LONDON - SKETCHING

WEATHER IS BETTER NOW, SO SKETCHING OUTDOORS IS LESS OF A PROBLEM

Here are some recent drawings from my various size sketchbooks. Usually I either draw in crayon or pencil.  Most sketches are also watercolour.  All done on the spot.

Local hardware and car parts shop in South London. due to close down  later this year.

Moorgate Station, City of London, drawn while attending the meet-up of Urban Sketchers London Group in the Barbican

March sunshine in Kingston-upon-Thames, drawn from All Saints Churchyard near the market place. Daffodils are almost dead in the area near the wall.  Children's merry-go-round in the background.

Kingston-upon-Thames, same day but in the pedestrian walk, where some buskers performed. Group  was called Red Jackson.

At the Ideal Home exhibition, Olympia, London. The craft beer van and other foody and drinky outlets

Sunday in April. Annual Boat Race at Putney in South West London, the river just before the races start.  In case you didn't know, the main event is the annual men's race between Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
