Record-breaking Gauguin Restrospective opens at Tate Modern
This is a must-see exhibition but I will wait until later in the winter, just in case the crowds get a bit less. I think it will be worth reading Brian Sewell's piece on the exhibition in the London Evening Standard.
I keep a blog about my sketching and about my visits to art exhibitions and galleries in London, also a little about my painting. In addition sometimes about gardening and my London allotment.
I do drawings of London in particular, and places I visit on holiday, especially if something is humorous and bizarre. I am a member of the Urban Sketchers London Group and have my images on Flickr. Also you can find me on Twitter.
You can see my large oil paintings of sports events and portraits of sportsmen and sportswomen on my website, linked below.
I agree with Grayson Perry, who says "I regard humour as an important and necessary aspect of art."
I have produced artists cards, and have worked extensively in the field of book illustration.
